COVID - 19 and coming back to the clinic

We are looking forward to the day when we can see all our wonderful patients in the office.

As of this post time - Optometry was NOT on the list for phase 1 opening. We want our patients to know that we are ready to keep you and our office safe for when we get the green light from the province & our regulatory college.

We are hoping we can open soon and wanted to give our patients a heads up to how things will look in our first few weeks:

We've redesigned our office to "one-way" hallways and to help with providing patients and staff with adequate space to limit close contact.

Our staff providing patient care will be wearing masks at all times and we are requiring patients wear masks when coming in for appointments or glasses adjustments/repairs as well.

Don't have a mask? We are asking patients drop a $1 in our "COVID Jar." All will be donated to local charity.

If you are unable to wear a mask for medical reasons, arrangements will be made to provide care that keeps you and our staff safe!

Please wear your glasses to your appointment, leave your contact lenses at home.

Instead of our usually bustling clinic, there will be significantly less appointments available each day for the time being. This means for the time being all previously scheduled appointments will be cancelled. We will reevaluate this week to week once we are open.

Appointments will be necessary for repairs/adjustments and picking out new frames in our dispensary

All urgent/emergency patients will continue to be triaged by our front desk and doctors in the office.

⇨ If you are in desperate need of an appointment for a new prescription or new glasses - please contact us via e-mail (saultoptometry@gmail.com) now so we can add you to our list to bring you in as soon as possible when restrictions are lifted.

Patients will be limited in the number of frames they can try on. Each and every frame will be sanitized before going back onto our boards.

If you have been ill in the past 2 week - or have been in contact with someone who has or is suspected of having COVID-19- and you have concerns about your eyes we encourage you to call the clinic and a doctor will call you back to address your concerns. But, please STAY HOME.

Contact lens orders will continue to be shipped directly to your home. You can order through the office or directly online HERE.

We encourage everyone to still practice social distancing - stay home, limit contact and wash your hands!
