The Ontario government and the Ontario College of Optometrists have given us the green light to see all patients (not just emergencies). This relies on our ability to have proper PPE for all doctors and staff and our ability to control the number of patients in our office at any given time.
So while we are so happy to be back, the office is by no way "business as usual."
If you have experienced a fever, cough or any type of illness in the past two weeks, have travelled internationally or have had contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 we recommend you call Algoma Public Health for guidance. .
ALL patients who are coming into the office must wear a mask. If you cannot wear a mask we will need to wait until this restriction is lifted. If you do not have a mask - a $1 donation (please bring a looney!) will secure you one.

Our office is now one-way to reduce the risk to staff and patients. Please be aware of the arrows (still to be placed). Our staff and doctors will guide you through the clinic.
If you are looking for new glasses - we will have half an hour appointment times and strongly request limiting the number of frames you try on to 5. If you have a general idea of what you are looking for this will help greatly in finding the perfect frame for you!
Repairs will have a 'drop-off' area and you can either wait in your car until repair is complete or come back later in the day. Our dispensing staff will let you know a time and get the necessary information to complete the repair as quickly as possible.
We will get through all the appointments that have been cancelled but please be aware this will take some time. Our doctors will be operating at about 30% of what we were prior to COVID closing our office.
We will still be triaging patients with any emergencies. Please never hesitate to contact us if you are having troubles with your eyes.

Monday is our first day back, please be patient with the doctors & staff while we navigate this new reality. Our primary goal is safety for our staff & patients. As such - you may notice our phone calls take a bit more time so your time in the office is decreased! Again, with more time with patients on the phone - this will tie up our lines so e-mail may be a faster way to reach us.
